چکیده
Electrospun fiber scaffolds has made a huge progress in tissue engineering applications owing to their continuous morphology with variable chemical, physical, and biological properties. In this review paper, we reviewed the electrospinning technique, its processing parameters characterizations involved. A focus on shape memory poly (glycerol sebacate) (PGS)-based electrospun for field was explored. The stimuli responsive PGS scaffold gained much attention due ability self-expanding, self-deploying, or self-fitting. Herein, of PGS-based scaffolds, particularly parameters, properties, have been reviewed. Besides, other issues concerning technology constraints, challenges, future directions are also discussed.

Electrospun nanostructured scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.
Despite being known for decades (since 1934), electrospinning has emerged recently as a very widespread technology to produce synthetic nanofibrous structures. These structures have morphologies and fiber diameters in a range comparable with those found in the extracellular matrix of human tissues. Therefore, nanofibrous scaffolds are intended to provide improved environments for cell attachmen...

Electrospun Scaffolds for Corneal Tissue Engineering: A Review
Corneal diseases constitute the second leading cause of vision loss and affect more than 10 million people globally. As there is a severe shortage of fresh donated corneas and an unknown risk of immune rejection with traditional heterografts, it is very important and urgent to construct a corneal equivalent to replace pathologic corneal tissue. Corneal tissue engineering has emerged as a practi...
متن کاملUse of lecithin to control fiber morphology in electrospun poly (ɛ‐caprolactone) scaffolds for improved tissue engineering applications
We elucidate the effects of incorporating surfactants into electrospun poly (ɛ-caprolactone) (PCL) scaffolds on network homogeneity, cellular adherence and osteogenic differentiation. Lecithin was added with a range of concentrations to PCL solutions, which were electrospun to yield functionalized scaffolds. Addition of lecithin yielded a dose-dependent reduction in scaffold hydrophobicity, whi...
متن کاملElectrospun Scaffolds for Heart Valve Tissue Engineering
INTRODUCTION Heart valve replacements are required for a number of heart diseases and replacements, as well as for both pediatric and adult populations. It is estimated that 2.5% of the population has valvular heart disease [1], and annually, over 250,000 people worldwide receive heart valve replacements [1]. Tissue engineering (TE) strategies hold the most promise for permanently restoring the...
